Effective from 11:59pm Thursday 15 July 2021 until 11:59pm Tuesday 27 July 2021 all of Victoria is in lockdown 5.0.
Dentists are authorised workers and allowed to work. However, Victorian dental practices are only permitted to provide urgent and essential dental care. Dental patients with urgent dental care needs are able to visit their preferred dentist (even if the dental practice is more than 5km away).

Visiting the dentist for necessary dental care
It is safe to attend dental appointments, as dental clinics have strict infection control procedures in place, and other measures to protect patients and staff.
If you have been to an exposure site, been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or are experiencing any cold and flu symptoms, please delay your dental appointment and get tested for COVID-19. Please stay at home and isolate until you receive your test result.
